Maori Language Awards 2009



The Maori Language Awards – Nga Tohu Reo Maori – are in their sixth year.  The awards celebrate and recognise innovative efforts to promote te reo Maori throughout the year, with an award for those hosting events during Te Wiki o te Reo Maori also. Award winners will be announced on Friday 16 October 2009 at the special awards ceremony.

We hope the 2009 theme, Te Reo i te Hapori, encourages all New Zealanders to korero Maori in the community.

The Maori Language Awards 2009 event will be held Friday 16 October 2020 at the Te Rauparaha Events Centre in Porirua.
